Livia sat on the toilet seat and put her hands in her face with a loud sigh. The wait was unbearable as her heartbeats resonated all over her body, making the stress even more powerful.
She quickly got up and sat on the bath's border. Definitely, there was no comfortable place to sit in a bathroom. She pushed her hair on her back and rubbed her eyes so roughly it started to hurt.
His face appeared in her mind, bringing her close to tears. Livia and Jared at met at a party from a host she couldn't remember. He had immediately caught her eyes, and she had felt as if she was falling down in a hole. He was physically perfect in every single way ; her definition of the perfect guy.
She had fell for him completely in the middle of the evening, after they had talked for hours. It seemed like she was the only girl around, as if they were alone, in a silent room. Every time she had laughed, a tiny smile had appeared on his heart shaped lips. She had noticed it ; it seemed like he enjoyed her laughter, and always wanted to hear more.
He had touched her arm in a way no one else had before. And he had invited her at his place.
"Fuck." Livia said in a low tone, looking at her watch.
It would be way better if Jared was there, with her, but he was trying to learn by heart the text of the scenes he had to play the next day, for the new movie he had been hired for.
As much as Livia missed his soft embrace, and his breath taking kisses, she knew it was better this way. It's not like they had wanted this. It's not like this was planned... and it's especially not something he needed at this moment.
Livia's feet stomped rudely on the cold floor, wishing the seconds would go quicker. She shook her right leg in a fast way, making her own arm, her elbow laying on her knee, shake at the same motion.
She put the small white stick on the counter and closed her eyes.
She had wanted that more than anything, ever since she was a child. She had dreamed of being that kind of woman, but now that it was happening, she felt tears coming to her eyes but contained them.
She crossed her fingers, hoping it was all a dream... wishing it was fake... begging for a negative answer.
She took a big breath as her watch beeped, telling her enough time had passed. She took the test in her hands and looked at the two straight pink lines visible on the window.
She lost her grip on the small stick and it fell on the floor in a light noise, just as tears started invading her cheeks. Bringing her legs closer to her body she started sobbing, laying her face on her knees.
Life would never be the same.
