C.h.a.p.t.e.r. .1.I looked at her straight shining blond hair as she pushed it behind her shoulder, letting her purse fall on the ground.
"Exhausting day." she let out in a sigh, sitting next to me on the couch and crossing her legs.
I smiled to her, laying my chin on my knees, my legs stuck to my body. She was gorgeous, as usual, and looked like the kind of girl you'd see in magazines. Her every features seemed to be flawless. There was no doubt, Pamela, my best friend, was gorgeous, and most likely the girl everyone would notice immediately when she'd enter a room, no matter where she'd go.
I had been crushing on her for as long as I can remember, and every time she'd be close to me, I felt shyness taking advantage of me, making me speechless and motionless. I was trying to overcome that upsetting feeling, but sometimes, it was stronger than me.
Sometimes, I noticed hints in the way she looked at me, or touched me, but It was too hard to believe that someone like her could be interested in someone like me. We were really close, but completely different, and even though it bonded our friendship, I was not sure a relation could be started by two persons that were so opposite.
"Yea, pretty much." I answered, staring at her.
My heartbeats accelerated as our eyes met, and she smiled in the sweetest way possible. Pamela got closer to me and lay her head on my shoulder, giving me shivers up my spine.
"I just want to stay like that forever." she whispered.
I looked down at her without a move, and noticed she had closed her eyes. Slowly, I reached her hand with mine and squeezed it. I was surprised to feel her hand tightening mine and half-smiled without thinking.
Pamela looked up at me and smiled before to get her face closer to mine, making my heart skip a beat.
The warmth of her kiss invaded my body and without thinking, I passed my hand slowly in her blond hair, letting myself melt completely into the passion, succumbing to the desires that had been burning for a while.
I had never thought it could happen, and I had only dreamt about it for so long. Still, she was there, sitting next to me, cuddling with me and kissing me in the most special way I had ever been kissed before.
We were both lost in the kiss, and didn't hear the door of my basement open again. I break our embrace when I noticed a brunette standing on the other side of the couch. I looked up and stared into Emma's deep brown eyes. I smiled to her, still into the beautiful moment I had just lived, and that was running in my thoughts.
Emma was also my best friend, and Pamela's. We had been close ever since childhood, and had never been separated by anything. Our friendship was stronger than the rock, and would survive as long as the ocean would lay itself on the beach, I knew it. But the sadness I read on Emma's face broke my heart in millions of pieces, evaporating quickly the perfect moment I had spent with Pamela.
She stared at me, her lips subtly shaking, and shook her head lightly in a negative way. Quickly, she turned around and left, leaving her backpack behind as I called her name in vain.
